Want to participate in community science and enjoy the outdoors this summer? Then the in person portion of the self-guided BioBlitz at Hovland Woods and Spring Beauty Northern Hardwoods SNAs are a perfect opportunity for you. SNA staff will be at Hovland Woods SNA June 18th and Spring Beauty Northern Hardwoods SNA June 25th from 1-4 pm offering support with using iNaturalist, identifying observations, and navigating the site. We want all visitors to feel safe and welcome. Please consider wearing a face covering when unable to maintain 6-feet of social distance. Dress for the weather. Directions
Hovland Woods SNA
From Hovland 6.7 miles on Co Rd 16, then 1.2 miles W on Irish Creek Rd. Park in lot at junction of Boyd Rd. Hike 0.8 mile SW on Boyd Rd into site.
Spring Beauty Northern Hardwoods SNA
From Hovland 2.4 miles N on Co Rd 16, then 1 mile W on Hovland Tower Rd, then 0.3 mile W (stay left) at Tom Lake Rd junction. Park at gate. Hike W to site.
