Event Description
Hosted annually for over two decades, the US Forest Service hosts a summer series of Naturalist Programs at different resorts, campgrounds, and nature sites around Cook County! Programs are offered Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:30am to 9pm and are FREE and open to the public.
Tuesdays
10:30 am-noon Butterflies, Bugs, and Bees at Caribou Highlands
12:30-2 pm Tour Hedstrom’s Lumber Mill (Reserve online) at Hedstrom’s Lumber Mill
7:30-9 pm Loons: Facts and Fables at Gunflint Lodge
7:30 – 9 pm The Amoosing Moose at Lutsen Resort
Wednesdays
10:30 am-noon Explore the Shore at East Bay Suites
2-3:30 pm Boundary Waters WILD! at Chik-Wauk Nature Center
7:30-9 pm Minnesota WILD! at Grand Marais Recreation Area
7:30-9 pm Leave it to Beavers at Bluefin Bay
Thursdays
10:30 am-noon Nature of Oberg Mountain at Oberg Mountain Trailhead
7:30-9 pm Feed Me! Carnivorous Plants and Bogs in Minnesota at Eagle Ridge
7:30-9 pm Dark Skies and Bright Stars at Lutsen Resort
