Photography and Art at the Rock: Lynn Zsidov-Steiner

Date: March 2, 2024 - March 31, 2024

Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Location: Split Rock Lighthouse

Event Description

Photography & Art at the Rock is a monthly exhibit in the lobby of the Split Rock Lighthouse Visitor Center that showcases local artists, landscape, and wildlife photographers and artists of the area. For the month of March our featured artist is Lynn Zsidov-Steiner.

A self-described artist who still has a corporate day hustle, Lynn relocated to the northland from Marinette County, Wisconsin due to her love of the wilderness. She spends much of her free time hiking and painting both the north and south shore of Lake Superior.

She developed her artistic sensibilities as a child, later trained in graphic art, and took fine art courses. She has an affinity for 18th and 19th century history and environmentalism which weaves through her paintings. She uses the most environmentally-safe materials she can source. She does not use petroleum-based solvents, mediums, or plastic paint (acrylic/latex).

Lynn’s show will run from March 2 – March 31

She will be onsite March 16 and March 31 from 10 am – 4 pm
