Each small town celebrates nature, arts and history, the great outdoors, local and regional talents, holidays and community. And you’re invited to join in. This North Shore Calendar of Events lists all kinds of goings-on; guided hikes, 99-mile bike races, fine art exhibits, pie-eating contests, solstice celebrations, historical talks, workshops, classes, summer festivals, small town parades, and the annual lighting of Split Rock Lighthouse.

Event Description

New this year, we’ll host a thematic weekend exploring a key craft material and process: hide and skin tanning, finishing, and sewing. Coursework will include a variety of methods and techniques, as well as evening and community gatherings with presentations, demonstrations, and connection.
