Event Description

Join local poet Pete Heiden for a reading and discussion of his book Tossed Stones Clearly Know Where to Fall. Heiden’s poetry invites readers to explore the natural world through a lens that bridges the past and present. His latest collection, published by Tercom Press, offers 60 poems that capture the flora and fauna of North America, reflecting a unique perspective shaped by his experiences as a landscape architect, educator, and naturalist.
Heiden’s diverse background spans horseback riding instruction and equine massage, survival and hunter education, drum making, Reiki practice, historic preservation, and more. His writing has appeared in publications including The Great River Review, The Midwest Quarterly, and The St. Paul Almanac’s Anthology. His chapbook, Sean Hill and the Little Town of Vandenberg, was published by Red Bird Chapbooks Press.
Copies of Heiden’s book will be available for purchase from Drury Lane Books, both in-store and at the reading.
