Event Description

Get ready for four bright stars of the bluegrass circuit who’ll light up the night with their blazing singing, mandolin, fiddle, and bass!

Lead singer of the highly acclaimed Bluegrass ensemble Della Mae, Celia Woodsmith is a world-touring, Grammy-nominated performer and songwriter described by The Boston Globe as “Unvarnished and intimate… but then sounds like she’s about to part the Dead Sea.” Woodsmith has opened for and played with artists including Taj Mahal, Leon Russel, Peter Rowan, and Amy Black of the Indigo Girls.

Hailed by  the CBC-Newfoundland as “one of the best mandolinists of his generation,” Joe K. Walsh is known for his exceptional tone and taste, his collaborations with acoustic music luminaries such as Darol Anger, Danny Barnes, Scott Nygaard, Jonathan Edwards, and Joy Kills Sorrow, many award-winning years with the acclaimed Gibson Brothers, and his accompaniment of artists from John Scofield to Bela Fleck to Emmylou Harris.

Bobby Britt is a dynamo bluegrass and old-time fiddler  currently playing fiddle in the young, hard-driving bluegrass band Town Mountain, which won an International Bluegrass Music Association Momentum award.

Zoe Guigueno is a bass player and singer, is a member of Grammy-nominated Americana band Della Mae, an alumnus of string band Joy Kills Sorrow, and a regular in the New York klezmer scene.

Tickets are $15 general admission – for sale at tix.com (search Arrowhead Center for the Arts) and box office night of show (6:30 pm).

Please note: for the continued health and safety of our community, all audience members will be required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth. Masks will be provided for those who forget one.
