travel tips
Book early – lodging is getting hard to find, that said, here are some specials for winter.
Be Patient – every business is short staffed, we’ve got road construction and it is busy
Have Fun – look at what to do in each community, check out the mile-by-mile list, find a map, an event, and see every place you can access Lake Superior.

here are some wonderful places to stay . . .
a note from nina
hello summer!
Oh boy do we have daylight! 16+ hours of it. We need it. With temps in the mid-60s to mid-80s and a light breeze of the big lake, we are outside all day. Except when the bugs are crazy bad at dusk, and sometimes dawn.
We are out trying new bike trails, hiking old favorites, going for a paddle. When we need to cool off, we make a picnic and head down to Lake Superior to hang out and maybe look for agates.
It has been a treat to take in all the summer events that returning, too.
Bring bug spray, and have fun!
– Nina
