Event Description
Pigment to Paint (couples & friends) – Have you ever wondered how paint is made? Join Grand Marais Art Colony instructor Allison Healy at Studio 17 in downtown Grand Marais for a hands-on activity and learn the basics of creating watercolor paints from scratch. Students will mix pre-ground pigments with a binder and formulate a color palette while examining the pigment’s properties and how they react to various watercolor papers. Everyone will create a color swatch sheet for future reference.
